Restock Point · Last updated 14 July 2026

Restock Point does not store any of your customers’ personal data. To work out how fast a product sells, the app reads order quantities and dates from Shopify. It never reads, receives or stores customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses or payment details.

Who we are

Restock Point is a Shopify app that suggests how much stock to reorder and emails purchase orders to your suppliers. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and how to get it deleted. For anything not covered here, write to privacy@restockpoint.app.

What the app stores

DataWhy
Your store domain and Shopify access tokenTo connect to your store on your behalf. The token is stored encrypted at rest and is never shared.
Name and email of the staff who installed the appSupplied by Shopify when the app is installed, and used to support you.
Units sold per product variant, per dayThe sales rate behind every reorder suggestion. Quantities and dates only.
Supplier records you enter: name, email, phone, lead time, currency, notesTo group orders by supplier and email the order to them.
Purchase orders: products, quantities, unit costs, dates, notesTo draft, send and receive your orders.
Your settings: lead time, coverage, safety stock, reply-to address, email footerTo calculate quantities and to send orders from an address your supplier can reply to.

What the app never stores

Permissions the app asks for

Restock Point requests read access to your products, orders, locations and inventory, and write access to inventory so that receiving an order can update your stock. It does not request permission to read your customers, and it does not write orders.

Who else sees your data

The app runs on a small number of services, each with a single job:

Your data is not sold, rented, or used to train any model.

Suppliers you add

A supplier record is a business contact you enter yourself. When you send them a purchase order, their email address is used for that delivery and nothing else. They are never added to a mailing list.

Keeping and deleting data

If you uninstall the app, the access token is deleted immediately and the app can no longer reach your store. Your suppliers, purchase orders and settings are kept for a short window, because reinstalling within a day or two is common and starting from an empty supplier list is painful.

Shopify then asks us to erase the store 48 hours after uninstall, and at that point everything is deleted: settings, suppliers, purchase orders and sales history. Nothing is retained.

You can ask for deletion sooner, or ask for a copy of what is held, by writing to privacy@restockpoint.app. We reply within 30 days.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, correct, export and erase your data, and to object to how it is used. Exercise any of them by writing to privacy@restockpoint.app. Because the app stores no customer data, a request from one of your own shoppers has nothing here to return or erase, and we will tell you so.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is stored or who sees it, the date at the top changes and merchants with the app installed are told by email.
